Because we all buy fuel!

Watching what the supermarket giants have been doing with milk and other everyday groceries has been quite interesting. It’s controlling the industry backwards! I have a feeling that something similar happened with grains and many farmers now sell grains privately. Previously, pricing was controlled by large mobs like AWB.

Again, I’m not 100% sure but I have a feeling that it might be harder with milk to cut out the middle-man due to the health requirements and other regulations. Grain just needs to be graded.

Anyway, getting to the point. Screw the milk. If Coles could manage to move the price of fuel down, people would be stoked! They seem to have a belief that prices are determined by the consumer, not the producer. If that’s the case, paying less for fuel should be high on that list!

Oil is sitting at US$100/barrel at the moment and around town here, fuel prices are sitting up to $1.50/litre. For me, that’s a $150 a tank!

Being very uninformed on the issue, that’s about all from me on this topic.
