Though the Glass

I’ve been so busy the last few weeks that I haven’t made the time to edit any photos. Here’s one from a friends birthday picnic.

We had an awesome game of ultimate Frisbee, something I haven’t played for a long time!

In the basement

An old unused car servicing station in a building basement. The image was processed to give it an aged look that reflects the unused/abandoned feed.

Bushfires in Michelago, NSW

Bushfires in Australia aren’t uncommon and it’s a normal part of how the Australian bush regenerates. Almost everyone could share a story of how a bushfire has affected them and often, many years later, you will still see evidence left from previous fires.

In this photo, you can see all the black areas where the fire has already burned though as well as the fire, still burning on the hillside. The town of Michelago was only about 100m behind me. Tradgiclly, a few houses were lost in these fires.

Feeling Strong

This photo is so very different to my usual style of photography and I needed a few people to convince me to post it. I have to admit, being a ‘self portrait’, I’m a little self-conscious about it! The photograph was inspired by Allyeska who does more of this type of photography.

Speed 100

This photo was also taken on the same drive as the hut photo a few days ago. This is the road heading out of Adaminaby.

In Ruins

An old building left to the elements. I feel that the dark clouds really adds to the mood of this paticular photo. The weather here has been a little crazy the last few weeks. Hopefully this weekend brings a change.

Brayshaws Hut, Namadgi

Brayshaws was built in 1903 by Edward Brayshaw for Davey Brayshaw, to support grazing. Davey was one of nine sons born to William and Flora (nee Crawford) Brashaw.

Wedding Cake – Out of a Cave

One of my amazing friends had their wedding today and it was such a blessing to celebrate the day with her. The wedding cake was awesome! I’m sure that you would agree!

Geoscience Australia Building

From the Geoscience website: “Geoscience Australia is a world leader in providing first class geoscientific information and knowledge”. I recall going into the build once, back when it was called AGSO (Australian Geographical Survey Organisation). They had a seismograph that you could jump around and watch as it recorded the vibrations.
