Refreshing

Self Portraits aren’t something that I’ve been a big fan of. I’m way to self conscious. But I was inspired by another photographer (Bronwen Hyde) to try something different. Bronwen did the 365 project with the theme of self-portraits. This one is one of my faves: Adrift

Between Bridges

It’s always hard to capture a Canberra icon photo that hasn’t been taken a million times before. I think with this photograph, I’ve managed to capture something a little different to the norm.

Strings

A photograph from the Miroslav Bukovsky Quartet live photo shoot I did this afternoon. One of the ‘creative’ captures.

I Will

In Australia, we say “I will”, not “I do”. An interesting fact that I learnt during this wedding. This is a photo from the second wedding that I’ve photographed this year. What an exciting opportunity!

Fire Switches

A photograph from the Balloon Spectacular on this week during the Canberra Festival. This morning, I found out that it’s still dark at 6:00. It’s not often that I’m awake before 7:00 and out of bed ;)

Tanker Carriage

An old unmoved tanker carriage on the railway at Bungendore. This carriage has been on the track since I can remember!

Track Maintenance

Today, I went for a drive out to Bungendore to take a few photos. There happened to be a few track maintenance trains on the railway line that looked interesting enough to take photos of.

Lonely Crate

What an experience! I’ve just spent the last few hours trying to restore my website after I deleted everything… I didn’t have backups so there was a lot of looking around for random exports and manually copying info from RSS archives. I’ve lost all comments from August 2009 onwards but I think I’ve found all the posts. Lesson learnt. Backup.

Now that’s over, here’s a new photo! I went for a random photo trip around canberra and took this photo of the inside of an abandoned petrol station.

Tea and Biscuits

The cup of tea and biscuits that I had yesterday morning. I cooked the biscuits the day before and they were still soft on the inside. Yum!

Fire Helicopter

A few weeks ago, I checked out a bushfire burning in Michelago. This was one of around 4 or 5 helicopters that was helping with the fire fighting effort. The rope, attached to the water bucket can be seen in thea Orginal.
